As mentioned before, the guys from Circular invited us to play tonight. The Boulevard is awesome! Nice venue and it was crowded. Technically one of our better gigs and the people were great. The other bands were as well! I think it's our time now to arrange something for Circular, Delychees and us. I think we'll be playing together again somewhere in the (nearby) future!

After 2003 and 2004 the third time we played at the Dorpsweek. Like in 2003, main act was the W.C. Experience, who seem to be heroes. We played a cover called 'Broken Wings'. That is an old song which we fancied fucking up! And so we did. But hey, the crowd didn't think we were fucking up. They seemed to like it and were singing along with Thijs. Also worth mentioning is the fact that for the first time we had triple voices during the gig. Besides Thijs and Tom, also Onno used the mic not only to talk bullshit between the songs!

Our friends from delychees invited us to play tonight, together with them and Jynx. It ws the third time already to play for us here, but again it was really nice. We played first and it went ok I think. We played our new song 'Cliff' for the first time and it didn't even turn out bad. Thanks Delychees! We also met a guy from the band Circular. He seemed to like us, because he invited us to play with his band in Breda again. To be continued!

Our first gig with new bassplayer Onno. The place was fully crowded and I have to say that it certainly was a nice experience after a long time of absence. Enthousiastic crowd, enthousiastic Lennard. Great!

Unfortunately we had a bad day. We didn't play as well as we did in the semi-finals. Delychees won the final and they deserved to! I think we'll be playing with these guys in the future!

'The winner's name starts with an L, followed by an E. And it ends with FT'. For an instant moment we felt the shivers running up our spines, but I have to say that Left deserved to win! They played really tight and they're just some damn good musicians! Maybe the audience liked us so much that we'll still play Sunday. So maybe this showreport isn't finished yet...

And it isn't finished yet! The audience voted for us to play at Dokrock! How cool is that! We'll play together with LEFT, Delychees and Loss of Words.

Dorpsweek

Our second time at the Dorpsweek and again it rocked! Thanks to all the people who put Lennard stickers on their shirts, that kicked ass! We played 'Tastefull Obesessions' for the first time and it went pretty well. The people seemed to like our performance and that makes it even cooler for us. Band zonder Banaan rocks and Huub Hangop is a hero!

Tikiepop was a nice festival in Hegelsom, Limburg. Because of the mixed line-up, there was also a mixed crowd. We played a nice show and saw some great bands like 37 Stabwoundz (who will appear on the Pinkpop festival) and of course the pride of the Dutch metal scene, Textures!

Tonight pretty much sucked. But gigs like these make us appreciate the fatter gigs even more! I guess we're a little bit spoiled with all those big and fat gigs that we've had before. But fortunately a lot of friends showed up and they seem to like it everytime which gives us a great feeling!

The gig was far cooler than we expected! Musically everything went well, but that crowd! These drunk students were absolutely fantastic. Especially Karel! Karel is a true HERO, who was willing to dance all the time and he made some great moves during Tom's 'Russian Riddle'! Our main objective this evening was not to be thrown at with beer, but people at Sint Jansbrug are really nice and more than anything else, they're ready to party! Thanks Bijnes, Guido, Wim and Ivo for joining us. And of course Debbie and Malu!

Popcentrale Dordrecht kicks ass! Very nice venue to play and really cool and nice people. The crowd obviously seemed to like our show and we met a lot of new people with whom we'll hopefully play some new shows in the future!

Rock Haven ruled! Compliments to the organization! The bands that played were cool, the audience was great, so we had a very good evening. Finally some good music in Hoeven, for a change. I guess that a new edition of Rock Haven will be a fact next year! Oh, forgot to mention our own performance. I think we did well, especially our new Metallica intro. The first tunes of Seek & Destroy made sure that the audience was in the mood for a new Lennard gig!

Damn! Tonight we looked like a bunch of clumsy dudes, put together to make the audience laugh. Jernst, next time make sure your back-up guitar is on stage instead of in the dressing-room, you amateur;-) And it would probably have been better if we'd played the songs as they were ment to be. But we had fun and drank some beer in Roosendaal afterwards. The Fabulous Wannabeatles were truly fabulous as they played really nice covers of the biggest womanizers of all time!

And again a great night! We played in Boogje 1, Rotterdam, together with All for Nothing and Go Ape!, which are two great bands! Boogje 1 is a nice venue under the Hofplein station. Again we brought some friends with us, which makes performing even more fun. The audience was great and they also seemed to like our new cover, 'goodnight girl' from Wet Wet Wet. Two nice gigs in a row!

Probably one of our best gigs so far. We played our new song 'worst show' for the first time, but it wasn't very appropriate. Everything was so fucking cool tonight! Many friends and other people came especially to see us. The lights were awesome and so was the sound and it was all filmed by Jim. We played together with the Nobodies and Quaint. We felt like popstars tonight and you know why? Because we had a dressing-room for ourselves with a refrigerator filled with...beer!

Tonight pretty much sucked. We arrived in a big delay and lost most of our motivation with that. Nearly fifteen minutes we were in and we had to perform already! We only played seven or eight songs and almost immediately left Popei (which is a great venue by the way) after our performance. Unfortunately we missed Ass If, they seem to rock big time!

Scary? Not at all. We played together with Breda rockers Zedmoon, guys who are twice as old as we are and who have twice ass less hair (Tom’s words ?). Catch twenty two is not big, but it was cool to play, because a lot of friends were there and everyone seemed to like our performance. We played all our songs (satisfying the diehards) and musically it wasn’t bad again! And for the second week in a row our fans were wearing the self-made Lennard shirts! They’ve really done a great job on that, but maybe it’s time that we make some designs for ‘em…

Other bands: Juicy Zooters, Super Fertile Sisters, the Corrosives, the Coffinkids, the Popsters (I), Stereo X, Nitro Junkies (G), Boarderliner

I never saw such a mixed crowd as this evening. But all these people had one thing in common: they were all PUNK! Skins, skaters and oi-punks, they were all in De Klep today! We played together with the Coffin Kids, the Popsters (from Italy), the Nitro Junkies (from Germany) and a lot of other cool bands. And there were the Juicy Zooters, four guys in the age of I guess sixteen. They rocked! Because of some technical problems, we weren’t able to play the whole set. But, our deares fans, we will play them this Friday in Breda! So be there!

Today we played in Wally’s place for the second time, together with Radical Frenzy and Gob Squad. Radical Frenzy is a young, potential band from Rucphen/Etten-Leur. Especially the singer/bass-player knows how to play his instrument. Gob Squad is a punk-rock band from Denmark. We asked those dudes if they were big in Denmark, but according to them there’s no punk scene at all right there. But they rocked at Wally’s! Oh, almost forgot to mention our own performance. We all agreed that musically it was one of the better performances. No fucking way, are we really making progression?

Yeah! And again we rocked in Oudenbosch City during the Double Dome sk8fest!
Nice sk8 party starting with the promising band The Nobodies, who unfortunately had some pretty shitty sound. B.O.N.E.R. somehow reminded me of Cumshot when they were young (When was that?). Although Cumshot did tune their guitarz ;-) Marigold hired some clowns for the show and their guitarplayers did some fancy twinsolo's. Finally we hit the stage and luckely did not totally fuck up ;-) Thanks to our die hard fans and see you all soon!

Back to school party

We didn’t know that going back to school would be this pleasant. Yes, we hit the stage at this back-to-school party and it was great! An enthusiastic crowd, dancing chicks on stage and Lennard polo’s were just some of the ingredients that evening. We played the same set as in Hard Rock Garden, since we’re still working on some new songs. But they will be worth listening to, promise! Be sure to see us at our next gig!

We played a few songs during Martijn's birthday party. It was some sort of rehearsal for a selected group of invited people. However we pretty fucked up (especially Jernst), the people liked it. We drank some beer, had some fun and thought about the upcoming gig in fideï et arti a week later. We had to do better than this time, to satisfy the crowd!

Dorpsweek
Other band: W.C. Experience and Eddy Wally

Oh yeah baby, second gig and a damn big one. We hit the stage as support act of local farmer heroes W.C. Experience and 'the voice of Europe' Eddy Wally. Could it rock more than that?! We hit the stage in front of a crowd that was so fucking big, about a thousand people! Part of the crowd formed a circle pit in front of our eyes and that gave us the adrenaline Di-rect writes songs about! We played the same set more or less as in Wally's place, except for our new song 'Rich girl', which is based on some boy meets girls experience of one particular (not everyone needs to know that it is Tom) band member. Eddy Wally didn't like the beer that was thrown at him and W.C. Experience turned the place upside down. We will probably play again in Standdaarbuiten during the dorpsweek next year and rock even harder than we did this time!

Yes, finally our first gig! For Thijs en Frank the first gig ever! We played together with those goddamn rockers from the Southern Way, who happen to be very good friends of ours. Wally's place is just a fine location to perform a first time. Not a big place and that's probably why it was fully filled with people;-) You wouldn't say that it was the very first time for Frank and Thijs, 'cause they rocked big time! We sold some pleasin' cruel singles and the crowd was enthusiastic, what more do you want?! The first steps have been set and hopefully we will continue to rock the surroundings of this froggy country. Southern way kicked ass, but isn't that what they are doing all the time?!
